It’s Bandcamp Friday.

We took this opportunity and asked Subterfuge to search through their CD shelves and IDE drives – to bridge the time until their new album comes out later this year – and compile a collection of unreleased material: b-sides, sampler contributions, outtakes, remixes. And this has revealed quite a number of lost germs:

– classics from their live shows such as Movie Star (Harpo), Keep on Loving You (REO Speedwagon) und They Don’t Know (Tracey Ullman)
– Fellow friends’ tunes like Mean Time’s Pressure Generation, Family 5’s Der Schlaf der Vernunft and Mikrofisch’s Bad Hair Days
– a remix of the great Pale song How To Survive Chance
– their only two compositions with German lyrics, originally released under the band name Suppe
– acoustic versions of Fist Fuck Photo und Distance recorded for a Kult Komplex session with Klaus Fiehe in 1996

Heute ist Bandcamp Friday.
Wir haben das mal zum Anlass genommen und Subterfuge gebeten, ihre CD Kisten und IDE Festplatten zu durchforsten und – bis es dann im Herbst eine neue Platte gibt – eine Compilation mit digital unveröffentlichten Aufnahmen (B-Seiten, Samplerbeiträge, Outtakes) für uns zusammenzustellen. Da sind drauf:
– viele alte Liveklassiker wie Movie Star, Keep on Loving You und They Don’t Know
– Cover befreundeter Bands wie Pressure Generation von Mean Time, Der Schlaf der Vernunft von Family 5, Bad Hair Days von Mikrofisch
