The compilation EP \u201cFugle\u201d (Danish for \u201cBirds\u201d)
\ngathers unreleased piano pieces of contemporary composers and pianists
\nSimeon Walker<\/a>, Garreth Broke<\/a>, Peter Horsch<\/a>, Raffael Seyfried<\/a>, and Tom Blankenberg<\/a>
\nSome of them were composed years or even decades ago, and some were written the day of the recording, but all of them were performed on the Keybird<\/a> X1 \u2014an extremely lightweight, acoustic piano manufactured in Copenhagen. With a smaller body and a one-string-per-key design, the Keybird provides a distinctive tone, to which the musicians adapted their performances.
\nLight, sensitive, and peaceful music\u2014like singing birds.<\/p>\n

\nThis compilation EP showcases the Keybird X1 piano\u2014an extremely lightweight, acoustic piano designed and manufactured by Lander Pinson and Keybird Instruments in Copenhagen. With a smaller body and a one-string-per-key design, the X1 provides a distinctive tone and an interesting option for performers who want to perform using an acoustic weighted piano rather than a keyboard.
\n\u201cFugle\u201d is the first compilation album performed and recorded with a Keybird piano.<\/p>\n

Tom Blankenberg: \u201cWhile touring in 2022 in Denmark, I had the opportunity to perform a concert with a Keybird prototype. I was very pleased with the key action and sound and ordered one of the first instruments. When it arrived at my studio, I was hooked on the idea of recording some piano friends and releasing an album with those tunes.<\/p>\n
